Happy New Year (fingers crossed)

Happy New Year darlings, and welcome back to Dilettante Factory. I admit it’s been some time since I graced these halls, but you know what they say — a good dilettante ages like wine, and absence makes the heart grow fungus.

Admittedly, no one says these things. Not even the fabled they.

2017 promises to be, at the very least, interesting. I’m trying to roll with the proverbial punches and make the best of things.

And it’s not all bad news. I mean, I’m starting the year with a new collection of short stories now on the market — that is, Jessica B. Bell is, anyway. I can’t keep straight who is speaking these days, but bear with me. There is one more Jessica book coming this year, and that should put to bed the whole Helena-Jessica thing once and for all.

I promise. I mean, I think I promise.

Also in the news, a short story-turned-novella/novelette entitled Thirty-Seven that I promised is indeed finished and going through edits before I turn it into an e-book. Look for that in the next week or so.

In the meantime — I’m really proud of how WhoIsJessica is looking. I’ve redesigned the website, and while it’s still a work in progress, it showcases VISCERA, as well as the other Jessica-related works. There are even a couple of short stories up there, and I’ll be posting a teaser of Thirty-Seven tomorrow.

Also — from January 16th to January 22, I’m going to be doing a blog tour organized by Sirens Call Publications, the publisher of VISCERA. What that means is that I’m busy writing upwards of 20 blog posts, and at the moment, two interviews (if you haven’t checked out the latest Sirens Call e-zine, you can check that out HERE. There’s an interview with Jessica B. Bell and a teaser of a story from VISCERA.)

I’ll keep you posted on the blog tour — I’m going to be talking all things horror and writing, and specifically, the stories from VISCERA. Hope to see you there.

Well, that’s it for me, darlings. See you around. Let’s make 2017… better.
