My Favourite Hooker

Have I got your full attention, darlings?

Good.

Now, in all fairness, she’s not only a hooker, she’s also a hacker, a ninja and a spy… .and OOOOH the things she can do with her hands.

Like, for instance, write fantastically funny and insightful stories, relating her own personal mishaps in hilarious fashion. Sound like anyone else you know? Perhaps that’s why I like Aussa Lorens so much, darlings — she’s like a long lost sister I never knew — and damn, she’s got great hair!

Have you ever discovered someone’s blog and wish you had sooner, because they have such a depth of material?

Well, you’re in luck, because today, for the low low price of just CLICK HERE, you can discover a relatively new blog and get in on the ground floor as the greedy business guys say.

I’ve just spent my morning reading through all of October (oh, I’m gonna get fired) and will start in on November after lunch (I repeat — gonna get fired).

But her writing is just THAT MUCH FUN, and totally worth my impending unemployment, poverty, and possible residence in a cardboard box outside the KFC (’cause they throw away all kinds of food, and the smell is like white trash perfume).

If you want to play a little game with Aussa, trying to guess what is fact and what is fiction (a fantastic idea that I’m totally going to steal, darlings), then START HERE

If you enjoy what you find there, tell Aussa Helena says hello!

  1. No, no, no! Don’t do this to me! Ordinarily I should be looking wistfully at the clock and thinking ‘it’s nearly home time’, but not this week. I don’t need you to find time-eating, gorgeous blogs for me to read when I have a near-avalanche of work to do….
    Still, it looks brilliant…. 🙂

  2. Aussa is a personal favourite! She attracts awesome like a magnet and shares it with her readers in a way that makes you almost wish all that weird would happen to you!

  3. I can’t believe you’ve been doing all that reading while at work, that cracks me up– we certainly ARE long lost sisters because I do the saaaaame thing (that is, when I don’t take an entire week off to go on a fake out-of-town Thanksgiving vacation). Thank you so much for the shoutout and you really really really need to do the 5 truths and a Lie post– I have a feeling yours will be nigh impossible to guess, especially if you switch it all up.

    • Way ahead of you, darling — I’m on number 5 right now!
I’m so glad I discovered your writing, darling — you have been a great source of amusement for me! But I think I’m going to slow down and read only a couple of Novembers at a time — otherwise I’ll run out and be sitting on your doorstep begging for more stories. (but then you’d have something to write about, I suppose “Helena Hann-Basquiat Won’t Leave Me Alone”

      • Haha! That would certainly make an amazing post 😉 A welsh girl I met in Laos was once tracked down by a guy who followed her blog… He traveled all the way from America to her hometown and wandered about asking questions until he got her address and then showed up at her door. She let him in and they had tea and spent a weekend together. Unreal.
